Abstract
Zendle & Newall use novel methods to provide strong evidence for understanding the link between gambling spending and harm. However, their analyticalstrategy must be altered to directly evaluate the UK government’s proposed affordability checks policy and support their conclusion that it is unlikely to affect people not experiencing harm.
